(Kaffeeküche = very small kitchen, mostly located in offices, where workers
prepare coffee and/or eat sandwiches, probably similar to the British tea room.)
For the soup:
1 carrot
4 small parsley roots
1 onion
1 tomato
4tbsp oil
1l water
0.5l Jahressuppe (p.e.pureed cucumber grapes soup from the day before)
salt, pepper
250g sliced cheese or what else can be found in the kaffeeküchen fridge.
Solid soup additions:
1 avocado
1 tomato
2 boiled chicken thights
250g boiled beef
1 bunch parsley
1 lime
1. You ask 8 colleagues to bring some ingredients from their home for the soup on monday, but almost all, except 2 of them, forgot about it.
2. You rinse, clean and peel all the vegetable for the soup and cut it into small dices.
3. You roast it gently in oil and pour in some water, then have a discussion with the colleagues about the right time to add the Jahressuppe, until one of them simply pours it in.
4. You season and continue to boil for 10 minutes.
5. You feel the taste is a bit bland and thin and so you look into the Kaffeeküchen-fridge, where you find a package of sliced cheece, which has the date of expiry tomorrow. Without any ado, you cut it up and stir it in.
6. In the meantime the -forget people- have peeled the avocado, rinsed and cleaned the tomato and removed skin and bones from chicken meat and have finely cut all that, including the beef and mixed with the roughly chopped parsley, the finely grated zest and the juice of the lime.
7. The soup now is ready and good at taste, is served in coffee cups and refined with the solid soup additions. Everybody enjoys the meal. There's exactly 0,5l left over.
