				 [recipe for 6 persons] 
Sweat 2 peeled and finely cut middle sized onions with 100g shortening until soft not brown. 
Add 1 tbsp of red sweet paprika spice and promptly pour in 0,5l 
pureed tomatoes. 
Add 1 finely sliced small cabbage and pour in 1l water. 
Also put in 3 peeled and diced potatoes. 
Season with salt, lots of caraway and 2 or 3 bay leaves. 
Then let simmer for about 1 hour. 
 
Before serving season to taste and ready. 
 
Some people love to make a roux (100g shortening with 2 tbsp.of flour) 
That makes the soup a bid smoother; I cant stand roux, the same effect 
you can get by pureeing the soup with a hand blender, maybe adding 
125g cream if wanted.
