4 pigeons
6 potatoes
2 carrots
3 onions
2 celery stalks with leafs
3/4 cup of tomato puree
1/2 cup of soup garnish (characters of greek alph.)
1 bay leaf, salt, pepper

draw pigeons (young, before fledged), cut in half and cover with water, boil and skim off. when they are rare add the cleaned vegetables and the bay leaf. when the pigeons are done the soup is strained and the liquid boiled with some more water and tomato puree. after boiling add the soup garnish (7-8 min) and serve with the pigeons and the vegetable.
