1,5kg fresh tomatoes
1/2 cup of rice
1 big onion
fresh basil
blob of cream
salt
pepper
Saute finely diced onions to tranclucent, add cubed tomatoes, salt and pepper, simmer on low heat, covered with a lid, till tomatoes are mashed (half an hour around), puree the soup and add a blob of cream, now add rice, try it every now and then, it should be al dente, season with a pinch of sugar if the soup is too sour, add basil, again season to taste and the selfmade tomato soup is ready.
