You go to a market, just when it is being closed and gather all the left over vegetables and fruits or you dip into a supermarket dumpster to raid all the foods not yet spoilt.
Now you possibly have four cucumbers, one carrot, one potatoe, two kakis, one radish, 2 lemons, seven tangerines, one apple, two bell peppers, ten tomatoes, eight pole beans, two chilis, one leek, one white radish, lots of parsley, one mountain cheese, two yoghurt cheeses and one 'Wurstsemmel'(=kind of bologna sandwich).
Roast the leek slightly in oil, add finely cut radish, carrot, potato, parsley, pole beans and tomatoes, pour in jahressuppe and water and season with bay leaf, one clove, peppercorns and salt. Allow to simmer for half an hour and serve the soup with a drizzle of lemon juice and grated mountain cheese (minestrone at its best). The picky kids may eat the wurstsemmel and the tangerines.
an optional dessert: apple, kaki and cheese
bell pepper, cucumber, cheese left over is for breakfast next morning:
